Educational Programs

For more than thirty (30) years, the Educational Service Center of Northeast Ohio has met the charge of the school districts in Cuyahoga and surrounding county schools to provide special education and alternative education programs to serve the most educationally challenging students in Northeast Ohio.

Our specialized separate school facilities, satelite classrooms and itinerant specialized staff served approximately two thousand (2000) preschool through high school aged students and over five thousand (5000) infant and toddlers that are at risk or have developmental delays and disabilities throughout the 2016-2017 school year.

Students served by ESCNEO staff and/or programs on behalf of the school district include students with emotional disturbances, multiple disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, hearing and visual impairments, at risk high school and preschoolers with delays.

The Educational Service Center of Northeast Ohio provides the personnel, fiscal oversight, billing and operations of the following educational and service programs serving infants/toddlers, preschool and school age children from school districts located in the northeast Ohio region:
  • Achievement Centers for Children
  • Bright Beginnings (Formerly Help Me Grow of Cuyahoga County)
  • Itinerant Staff for Deaf/Hard of Hearing and Visually Impaired Consortiums
  • Positive Education Program
  • Passport School Program (Formerly the ESC School Program and Rose Mary Center School)
  • Special Needs Preschools
