It is the policy of the Educational Service Center (ESC) of Northeast Ohio to make tax sheltered annuities available to Governing Board employees upon request and filing of appropriate company application with the Governing Board Treasurer. Employees who purchase annuities do so completely on their own. The ESC of Northeast Ohio does not endorse any company.

These shall be subject to limitation of the Internal Revenue Code governing tax shelters. The Governing Board reserves the right to require that an applicant for tax sheltered annuity to be one of at least five persons to be covered by any company which is not, as of October 27, 1982, currently a company which has written tax-sheltered annuities for Governing Board employees.

Reimbursement plans allow participants to use pre-tax money to pay for certain eligible expenses that would otherwise be paid for with after-tax money. These arrangements create reimbursement accounts that are used to pay for qualified expenses related to:

 

 

 

 Plan year runs from July 1 through June 30. Forms are available during Open Enrollment in June or during New Hire Process.
