Participants attending this academy will:
- Gain a sense of what authentic and inclusive family engagement looks like.
- Understand the connection between parent engagement, belonging and academics.
- Learn about designing and implementing parent/family academies.
- Gain an understanding of superintendent and principal family advisories.
- Delve into the barriers to family engagement and how to mitigate these barriers.
- Unpack practical examples of authentic family/parent engagement, both traditional and non-traditional, at the school and district level.
