Description: |
Teenagers’ lives are filled with stress and change. Their bodies are transforming, social relationships are evolving, academic workloads are increasing, and they are challenged to respond maturely in different situations. Rates of anxiety-related disorders have risen among teens, particularly among urban youth who may be impacted by poverty, mobility, or other issues of urban environments. In this workshop, Angela Neal-Barnett, Ph.D. will explore culturally-relevant interventions in response to adolescent anxiety and stress, with specific strategies to foster and strengthen resilience among our youth. |
