2020-21 KINDERGARTEN REGISTRATION INFORMATION

WHEN DOES REGISTRATION OPEN?
Online registration is now open.
 
HOW CAN INCOMING FAMILIES REGISTER THEIR STUDENTS FOR KINDERGARTEN?

WHAT DOCUMENTS ARE NEEDED?
  • Birth Certificate
  • Custody/Guardianship Papers (if applicable) in original form with court stamp
  • Immunization Records
  • Physical Form if Preschool or Kindergarten
  • Parent/Guardian Identification; Driver’s License or Picture ID
  • School Records – BCSD - Consent for Records Release Form and any of the following listed below:
  • Withdrawal Slip
  • State Testing Information
  • Last Report Card/Grades in Progress
  • IEP/ETR/MFE (if applicable)
  • Transcripts (high school only)
  • 504 Plan
  • Home Schooling Documentation
  • Other: Proof of Residency
     
WHAT ELSE DO FAMILIES NEED TO KNOW?  WHY SHOULD THEY REGISTER NOW?
Once the online registration is complete, the District Registrar will work with you to collect the required documentation.  Electronic submission is preferred.  Kindergarten screening appointments will be scheduled after your registration is complete.
 
HOW WILL DISTRICT PROVIDE ELECTRONIC ACCESS TO THOSE PARENTS WHO DO NOT HAVE IT AT HOME?
Appointments can be made by calling 216-485-8112.  A computer is available for use at the Brooklyn Board Office: 9200 Biddulph Rd, Brooklyn, Ohio.  Hard copies of documents are also available at the Board office.
 
HOW IS THE SCHOOL PRACTICING SAFETY MEASURES FOR FACE-TO-FACE REGISTRATION? 
Only the parent/legal guardian is needed. Please do not bring children to the appointment unless necessary. Appropriate physical distancing will be in place. If possible, please wear a mask to your appointment. If you or someone in your household is sick at the time of your appointment, please call to reschedule or make other arrangements.
