Online registration is up and running. Registrars will contact parents for a follow up appointment to collect additional information/paperwork in the event a parent is unable to upload the required information.
HOW CAN INCOMING FAMILIES REGISTER THEIR STUDENTS FOR KINDERGARTEN?
WHAT DOCUMENTS ARE NEEDED?
- Birth Certificate
- Photo ID
- Immunization Record
- Proof of Residency: (ie., Lease/Mortgage Document; 2 Pieces of Current Business Mail (One must be a utility bill lease/mortgage document,
- Custody Documents if Applicable,
- Special Education Documents if Applicable (IEP/504 Plan)
WHAT ELSE DO FAMILIES NEED TO KNOW? WHY SHOULD THEY REGISTER NOW?
To avoid the mad rush of registrations during the months of July and August. The child will be on the KG roster and there won't be any delay with the start of school in August. Parent also need to know that their child must be 5 years old on or before August 1st. If the student has a birthdate after August 1st, there is a KG early entrance assessment. We are currently taking names and needed information for the assessment schedule. Dates and procedures for the EET are still pending but the parents on the list will be notified of the details.
HOW WILL DISTRICT PROVIDE ELECTRONIC ACCESS TO THOSE PARENTS WHO DO NOT HAVE IT AT HOME?
The registrar will contact the family to make appropriate arrangements
