Euclid Schools Welcomes New School Resource Officer
If you visit the Euclid Schools Secondary Campus, there’s a good chance you’ll notice a Euclid Police Department car parked somewhere around the school. For the past three years, that car has been used by our School Resource Officer Erica Rodriguez.Officer Rodriguez quickly became part of the High School and Middle School team, helping to develop a positive and safe culture. Officer Rodriguez serves as a point of contact for the Euclid Schools Department of Public Safety and the Euclid Police Department, helping to build a strong bond between the two. She has been a valuable resource for the school in promoting safety while also building connections between Euclid Police Department and the students of Euclid Schools.
Through the Euclid Police Department’s commitment and partnership with the Schools and with the success of Officer Rodriguez, we’re excited to announce that Officer Brandon Moore will be joining Officer Rodriguez as an assigned School Resource Officer (SRO) at the Secondary Campus.
Like Officer Rodriguez, Officer Moore is a familiar and welcome face around the Euclid Schools. Both officers have been part of the EPD for quite some time and are active in community policing. Officers Rodriguez and Moore both work with the Euclid Police Athletic League to host Basketball Open Gyms at the Middle School Field House. Most recently, Officer Moore served as a member of the EPD Community Response Unit.
Officer Moore is already beginning to transition into his new role at the Euclid Schools--make sure to say hi to him and Officer Rodriguez if you see them around any of the Euclid Schools campuses!
