With a budget of more than $12 million, Girl Scouts of North East Ohio is focused on building girls of courage, confidence and character, who make the world a better place through unique programs and opportunities. Three Council-run camps of almost 1,000 acres serve as the anchors for outdoor adventures and leadership learning. A transformational project is currently under construction, an 8,000 square foot STEM Center of Excellence which will serve not only Girl Scouts but other local area students. The facility will use an exciting theme of Biomimicry to inspire area youth to take on STEM careers,
the area’s fastest growing and highest paying jobs. Currently only 28% of all STEM workers are
women and we say those are jobs for Girl Scouts. |
