We will read and discuss the book, Start Seeing & Serving Underserved Gifted Students 
by Jennifer Ritchotte, Chin-Wen Lee, & Amy Graefe. 
This book is packed with over fifty strategies that address how teachers can see, understand, teach, challenge, and advocate for their underserved gifted learners in all content areas.

Course Objectives
Participants will: 
· Examine practices that promote student engagement and critical thinking
· Investigate and consider how to efficiently apply and implement differentiation strategies into their current practice

Course Overview
· 6 week, asynchronous online course
· Final project due May 7, 2023
· Weekly reading assignments and discussion questions in Google Classroom
· Weekly reading, responses, and discussion posts will earn participants a total of 15 contact hours with the option to purchase 1 graduate credit through Ashland University
Audience:   Elementary, Middle, and High School Teachers, Intervention Specialists, Gifted Coordinators, and Administrators, especially those who need professional development hours to meet the operating standards to service gifted students
