Emotional Intensity in Gifted Students was designed as a reference for parents and educators to provide specific effective strategies in working with gifted children that respond to their social and emotional needs. The author explores myths and assumptions about giftedness, social-emotional development, and the intense nature of gifted children that present challenges. She highlights best practices based on research and provides case studies of student behaviors and response.
The book study sessions include readings, interactive discussion and sharing, reflection, and application of learning. Facilitators will help participants consider how to implement strategies into their current practice.
