PBIS Tier II Interventions
Friday, February 16, 2024
Topic:   Behavior & Climate
Sponsored by:   SST 3
Presenter(s):   Stephanie Denham, Linda Blanch, and Meke Wiggins
Description:
This one-day training is designed for those that are currently implementing Tier I practices with 70% implementation on the Tier I Tiered Fidelity Inventory. Positive Behavioral Interventions &
Supports (PBIS) is a broad range of systemic and individualized strategies for achieving important social and learning outcomes in school communities while preventing problem behavior. Secondary
interventions within a PBIS Framework are targeted interventions designed for students who need additional supports beyond (yet in combination with) universal-level interventions. Secondary interventions are implemented in a standardized approach, which means key features of the intervention look similar across all children receiving the intervention. This training will include a review of various Tier II evidence-based interventions including Check-In Check-Out, Social and Academic Instructional Groups, Self-Monitoring, etc. For each intervention, participants will learn about the purpose of each intervention, which students would benefit most from this intervention, how to ensure fidelity of implementation, and how to monitor if student progress is being made. This training pairs well with the Tier II Systems training which is also a one-day session.

Audience:   This one day training is designed for members of a PBIS Leadership Team that are currently implementing Tier I practices with 70% implementation on the Tier I Tiered Fidelity Inventory.
