The One Needs Assessment is a comprehensive tool that provides the opportunity for districts and schools to focus on a few items of high impact for continuous improvement. The One Needs Assessment directs districts and schools toward creating a focused One Plan.
All districts and schools that receive federal funding are required to use this planning tool to develop/revise their One Plan for FY26. The ED STEPS - Root Cause Analysis, Vision Setting session will provide a general overview of the enhancements to the One Needs Assessment and One Plan, timelines, root cause analysis resources, and vision setting for your district/LEA.
Participants will learn strategies to effectively facilitate the One Needs Assessment and begin to craft a framework for developing the One Plan during the sessions.
