The book Engage Every Family: Five Simple Principles by Steven Constantino outlines a pathway and process to engaging every family, including those families that have been traditionally disengaged or disenfranchised. In this virtual book study, participants will explore five simple principles to increase engagement with every family.
Learning Objectives: - Determine the existing family engagement culture of your school and how you may contribute to practices that are inclusive of every family
- Develop a deeper understanding of the processes and components to genuinely engage every family in the academic lives of their children, which will result in improved learning outcomes for all
- Utilize case studies to prompt thinking and actions related to family engagement
The first 30 registered participants will receive a copy of Engage Every Family: Five Simple Principles mailed to them before the first session.
