Description:  

Differentiate your gifted classroom and address the specific needs of your gifted learners by designing experiences instead of lesson plans. Designing for Depth in the Classroom: A Framework for Purposeful Differentiation, by Andi McNair, is imparted in a refreshing, conversational tone and will guide participants through a new mindset and process for creating meaningful experiences that leave learners engaged, empowered, and motivated to move from surface-level learning to deep understanding. Topics such as project-based learning, authentic engagement, and supporting and encouraging learners are explored. Strategies include the 8C’s of Engagement, the Reflection Triangle, and the Power of Productive Struggle. 

This book study is delivered asynchronously via Google Slide Presentation. Strategies and resources aligned with the book will be provided.  

Participants are expected to

-read the text and complete assignments by due dates

-view and respond to one module weekly

-submit a culminating activity
