We will read and discuss the book, Empowering 

Underrepresented Gifted Students: Perspectives from the Field by Joy Lawson Davis, Ed.D., and Deb Douglas, M.S. 

 

· Through this book study, educators will learn about recommended practices and strategies for helping underserved high-potential students claim their right to an education that addresses their unique needs and strengths.

 

· Google Classroom will serve as the platform for submitting 

         reading response posts and discussions.

 

· This course consists of 10 reading assignments from the text and 10 reading response posts that are submitted weekly. You are expected to respond to at least two posts from your classmates after posting your initial reading response. 

 

· If you have purchased graduate credit, a final project is 

        required and must be submitted by the conclusion of the

         course.
