During this presentation, Melissa will be going over the TGRG law/policy guidance and Secure Data Center (SDC) reports to help you troubleshoot the "At Risk K-3 Readers" component on your Local Report Card.
Melissa joined the Ohio Department of Education in 2012 as a Data Manager in the Office of Data Quality and Governance. She serves as part of the team responsible for EMIS policy, documentation, training, and support and is responsible for coordinating the EMIS Alliance Support Grant. One of Melissa’s first projects with the Department involved working with the TGRG Program Office to develop and document EMIS reporting requirements. She continues to work closely with that office as well as the Office of Accountability to provide TGRG and K-3 Literacy guidance for schools.
The presentation will benefit staff who deal with instructing teachers adhering to the related law, staff who gather the data to give to staff to code it so it’s reported in EMIS correctly, district EMIS coordinators and district leadership who look at the related data points for accountability and the At-Risk data measure related data prior to it being published (Secure Data Center/SDC).
