Preparing for HQSD: In-Person
Please bring your team to collaborate on making district/building decisions to prepare and deliver professional learning to support the implementation of High-Quality Student Data within the OTES 2.0 evaluation framework. The topics of focus are listed below; all topics will be addressed in the one session.
Monday, September 12th, 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
District Policies & Procedures (HQSD)
ESC consultants can collaborate with district assessment/evaluation committees to support the transition to using HQSD to improve instructional practices. Resources available include assessment inventories to audit instruments already in place, a starter template for a possible HQSD approval process, and protocols to ensure classroom assessments meet the criteria for HQSD.
Overview of HQSD
OTES 2.0 embeds student growth/achievement data within the performance rubric, prioritizing the teachers USE of data rather than the SCORE. This slide deck introduces teachers to the intended shift in how educators use available data in OTES 2.0.
Calibrating HQSD Ratings
This evidence-based calibration tool/template maps the four required uses of data to specific components/performance levels in the OTES 2.0 performance rubric.
