Description: |
In our GO SLOW online book studies, we take the most popular books in education--the books that you’ve been dying to read but have difficulty finding the time--and build in a structured support system so that you can go from learning about pedagogy to successfully applying it. How It Works: - Read one book over the course of a whole semester, usually one chapter per week.
- Attend a weekly virtual cohort coffee chat for collaboration, community, and brainstorming.
- Provide a brief weekly reflection or artifact of learning
For this particular GO SLOW Online Book Study, we’ll read Blended Learning in Action. Blended learning has the power to reinvent education, but the transition requires a new approach to learning and a new skill set for educators. Loaded with research and examples, Blended Learning in Action demonstrates the advantages a blended model has over traditional instruction when technology is used to engage students both inside the classroom and online. - Program Time: Weekly Virtual Cohort Coffee Chats: Tuesdays from 3:30 - 4:00 pm
- Participants will need to purchase the book Blended Learning in Action
- Upon successful completion of a course, participants will receive a certificate for 15.0 CEUs.
- In addition, participants may also apply for 1.0 hour of graduate credit from Ashland University.
