Description: |
January 26, 2023 Listen to the Music! Teaching with Lyric Learning
Music is a universal language. In the classroom or any educational setting. It is a vehicle that manifests student motivation, engagement, and an authentic awareness of music appreciation. Lyric Learning is a strategy that can be integrated into any content area, support any academic standard, and teach problem solving and creative thinking. It can create interest in a topic or discussion, teach a concept or skill, provoke journal writing, poetry, or a writing piece, or introduce service learning project. This fast paced workshop is designed for K-12 teachers and gifted intervention specialists who wish to integrate engaging Lyric Learning lessons into their curriculum. |
