PBIS Tier I Overview: Supporting the Needs of the Whole Child in Early Childhood

This session provides information and discussion on Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) as a decision-making framework that is implemented to meet the needs of the whole child and the family. PBIS promotes a safe and supportive school environment. Intended outcomes from the establishment of this framework include a reduction in challenging behavior and improved social/emotional competencies and academic performance.

This content is designed to meet the requirements of the revised restraint and seclusion rule’s 3-year PBIS PD requirement for all personnel (formerly House Bill 318.)
