Ohio’s Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) Recognition System provides an opportunity for schools and districts to be recognized for creating school environments that are positive, predictable, safe, and equitable. PBIS aligns with Ohio’s Whole Child Framework by creating safe and supportive schools and prioritizing its five components.

 

Each year, the Ohio Department of Education and the PBIS Network recognize schools and districts for their quality and fidelity of PBIS implementation. Schools are eligible to receive awards at the bronze, silver, or gold levels of distinction.
