National Homeless Youth Awareness Month Resources

Every year, thousands of American families become homeless.  In Ohio alone, that number has reached 10,345. In Cuyahoga County, that number is at 6,000.

Is your district ready to meet the needs of these students? Do you know who to call or which resources are available for them?

Mark your calendars for the in-person professional development opportunity on December 15 from 1-3 p.m. here at the ESC of Northeast Ohio.  We will have a panel from area agencies guide us through ways school districts can help the needs of these students.

In this workshop, we will…

  • Identify the gaps and needs of the homeless students/families

  • Identify services available for homeless/runaway youth

  • Identify services available for homeless families

  • And answer any questions you may have
