Prior to working at the ESC Amren served as principal of Applewood Elementary in Brunswick for six years, and as the assistant principal intern at Grindstone Elementary in Berea for one year. Before going into administration she was an elementary teacher for 11 years in the Berea City School District. Amren's Bachelor's Degree is in Early Childhood Education and her Master's Degree is in School Leadership, both degrees from Baldwin Wallace University. In addition, she holds a Superintendent License from Ashland University.
Amren has a servant leadership heart and a deep-rooted desire to help those around her achieve their full potential and calling. She is enthusiastic, innovative, and driven. She brings to the ESC a strong background in OTES 2.0. Through OTES 2.0 she seeks to make all steps of the process efficient, effective, and meaningful for both the administrator and the teacher. Amren's background and experiences allow her to support districts in building a strong DLT/BLT/TBT framework including identifying and monitoring actionable goals. Amren believes in the importance of aligning systems to help administrators, teachers, staff, and students achieve at the highest level.
Amren lives in Berea with her husband, two children and three dogs. As a family they enjoy traveling, sports, outdoors, lake life, and family game time.
