We are launching our 11th year of the NEO Science Specialists (NEOSS) Network at the ESC of NEO in September 2026. We will host 7 meetings during the 2026-2027 school year, starting with Project WILD and Aquatic WILD training at the Portage Lakes facility of the Ohio Division of Wildlife. We will continue to alternate between full K-12 participation to meetings for K-8 and 9-12 Science educators. With over 40 school districts already represented in the network, we welcome Science educators from new school districts not previously represented.
Participants in the NEOSS Network 11.0 will engage in deepening understanding of the relationship between the Ohio Science Learning Standards and the Next Generation Science Standards, evaluating high-quality instructional materials, expanding authentic outdoor learning experiences, practicing modeling instruction, and meeting in grade-level or disciplinary breakout groups. We also welcome member input to promote student-centered learning in science classrooms.
To ensure adequate materials and seating please register for each meeting you will be attending.
