Starts October 18th
The changing landscape of the American workplace in recent decades has resulted in a demand for skills such collaboration, critical thinking, perseverance, and communication. Surveyed executives indicate that these types of skills, sometimes called “employability/career-readiness skills” or “social emotional learning” (SEL) skills, are equal to or more important than technical skills and yet are difficult to find in employees.  A major reason for the qualified labor shortage is that fewer students are graduating high school with the skills required for today’s workplace (casel.org). Schools must rise to meet the challenge and bridge this gap in order to prepare students to have thriving careers and fulfilling lives.
Dates: October 18th - virtual ,  Nov. 16th - virtual , Dec. 9th - virtual,  Jan. 25th - in person.
