About

First Ring Districts
The First Ring Schools Collaborative (FRSC) is a regional organization of more than 100 superintendents and educational leaders representing 16 school districts that border the City of Cleveland. Together, these districts serve more than 50,000 students from preschool through grade 12.

Established in 2000, the FRSC was created to help member districts address shared challenges related to poverty, student mobility, diversity, equity, and the academic achievement gap. Through collaboration and the sharing of resources and best practices, the organization works to improve outcomes and opportunities for all students.

In addition to sponsoring the First Ring Leadership Academy (FRLA) and the First Ring Student Leadership Institute (FRSLI), the FRSC supports a variety of initiatives focused on student wellness, career readiness, academic achievement, and school-based health services.

The FRSC also fosters professional collaboration through networks of educators and administrators in a wide range of roles, including Career Readiness, Curriculum, Early Childhood Education, EMIS Shared Services, Equity, Family and Community Engagement, High School Leadership, Public Relations and Communications, Pupil Services, Registration and Enrollment, Safety and Security, Superintendents, Transportation, Treasurers, and Northeast Ohio Alternative and Online Administrators.
