Euclid Senior CTE Students Present Capstones

On Thursday, seniors enrolled in Euclid High School’s Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs proudly presented their Capstone Projects—culminating experiences that mark the end of their time in their respective career pathways. These projects, which often involved intensive hands-on work or internships with local businesses, served as a powerful display of the skills, creativity, and professionalism our students have developed throughout their CTE journey.

The event kicked off with a lunch, served by the Culinary Bistro, followed by a ceremony in the Auditorium. CTE Counselor Kayla Hunt and Principal Russell opened the ceremony with speeches before turning the podium over to Senior representatives from some of the programs to talk about their Capstone experiences.

In Construction, students remained in their lab and undertook the ambitious project of designing and building a full two-story house with working electricity and power. They mixed concrete by hand, poured a footer, and unloaded 25,000 pounds of concrete blocks—truly living their motto, “The future we build.”

Music Production and Engineering students connected with local businesses like New Dawn African Market to create original radio advertisements, showcasing their skills in scripting, beat-making, and audio engineering.

Students in the Next Brand Challenge program worked on the creating a master calendar, marketing materials, Instagram content, and blog posts to streamline and strengthen the EHS brand while amplifying student voice.

The Robotics and Automation program overcame spring break setbacks and even an Ich virus to successfully build and automate an aquaponics garden, which uses fish and water to grow plants—demonstrating engineering skill and problem-solving in real time.
Exercise Science students gained real-world experience interning with Wickliffe High School’s athletic trainer, exploring careers in physical therapy, athletic training, and sports medicine.

Studio Art and Design students partnered with Stella’s Art Gallery and the Willoughby Arts Collaborative, gaining insights from local artists and contributing to real marketing and community art projects, such as the Dandelion Project and themed selfie stations.
Teaching Professions students served as assistants at the Early Learning Village, applying classroom management techniques and supporting student learning. Their biggest takeaways: patience, positivity, and the power of relationships.

Urban Agriculture students partnered with Euclid Pet Pals, learning about animal care, behavior, and adoption while helping with daily shelter operations.

At the conclusion of the event, each instructor presented their students with CTE graduation cords, certificates, and program diplomas—celebrating their hard work and readiness to enter the workforce or continue their education.
