Berea-Midpark Students Take Action Against Distracted Driving
Berea-Midpark High School students in the Polaris Career Center Satellite Programs for Broadcasting & Video Production and Digital Marketing are leading the charge against reckless and distracted driving. As part of the Create Real Impact Contest hosted by Impact Teen Drivers, students are launching a strategic social media campaign to promote safe driving habits using a positive community norming (PCN) framework—which focuses on reinforcing responsible behaviors rather than highlighting risks.
Their campaign includes:
- A Distracted Driving Awareness Fair during lunch
- Five original infographics, fliers, or posters
- Five short PSAs (30 seconds max)
- A social media campaign highlight video
- Five social media content pieces
- A press release shared with local media
- A final highlight video summarizing the campaign’s impact
Community members can view and support their efforts April 7-11, 2025, on social media:
- TikTok & Instagram – @polarissignpro & @titans_studio_
- YouTube – @Titans_Studio_
Campaigns will be judged on technical execution, creativity, and message effectiveness. Schools with the top campaigns will be awarded cash prizes:
?? First place: $10,000
?? Second place: $5,000
?? Third place: $2,500
