Brooklyn Third Graders Celebrate Arbor Day with City of Brooklyn

Brooklyn third graders attended a special Arbor Day celebration hosted by the City of Brooklyn on Friday, April 26, 2024, at Memorial Park. Students had the opportunity to gain experience about and discuss the characteristics of trees, and the numerous benefits they provide including cleaning the air and water, providing habitat for wildlife, and beautifying the community. Mayor Ron Van Kirk and other city officials provided remarks during the program which included the planting of a tree at the park. A special thank you to the City of Brooklyn for providing our students with this exciting opportunity to learn more about trees and how they can promote a healthier, more vibrant community.
