Orientation Schedule

Substitute Teacher Orientation

Every prospective OSTS candidate must attend a Substitute Teacher Orientation prior to employment with the OSTS. The length of the orientation varies depending on class attendance size. An individual check-out process with our staff follows a one-hour presentation.

After you have reviewed the schedule listed to the right, you must click on the date of choice to register. If you have any questions, please call our office at 216.446.OSTS (6787). You do not need to attend an orientation in the same county in which you reside.  All material presented is the same.

We will need the following items:
  • 2 forms of original ID (and a copy of each) – For example, a Driver’s License and Social Security Card, Driver's License and Birth Certificate, or a Passport
  • Copy of current sub/teaching license
  • Copy of FBI and BCI background check results (within the past year) - Cost varies by location. Information is included when you select a registration date.
  • A voided check or letter from the bank with account information for payroll
  • Copy of official transcripts (only needed if we need to sign off on a substitute license)
