State Support Team 3 supports Career-Technical Planning Districts (CTPD) in six counties:  
  • Cuyahoga                 
  • Erie
  • Geauga
  • Huron
  • Lake
  • Lorain
This position is the result of a joint venture between the Office of Exceptional Children and the Office of Career-Technical Education (in the Ohio Department of Education) to support CTPDs in serving students with disabilities.
 
SST3 staff will assist in the development of presentations and resources in collaboration with the Office of Exceptional Children and the Office of Career-Technical Education that can be used across all Career Technical Planning Districts.  The focus of the professional development is on improving instructional support to career technical instructors serving diverse learners and particularly students with disabilities.  Focus topics include, but are not limited to:
  • Special Education Service Delivery
  • Support for the Ohio School Improvement Process
  • Career Technical Education Standards
  • Career Connections
  • Program Development
  • Analysis
