Ohio’s Statewide System of Support includes the Ohio Department of Education and Workforce, regional State Support Teams (SST), Education Service Centers, Information Technology Centers, and other partnering organizations. As a key component of this system, State Support Teams provide educational services that support continuous improvement across Ohio schools and districts, with a primary focus on identified buildings and districts.

SST consultants work collaboratively with district and school leaders to strengthen systems, structures, and practices that improve outcomes for students. Through coaching, technical assistance, and shared leadership resources, SSTs support the implementation of evidence-based practices and interventions in areas including students with disabilities; early learning, with a focus on preschool special education and early childhood programs; literacy; mathematics; chronic absenteeism; positive behavioral interventions and supports (PBIS); college and career readiness; and family and community engagement.
