Grant Resources

U.S. Department of Education

This page provides links to find information about discretionary (competitive) grant applications that are currently open or are forecasted to be open in the near future through the U.S. Department of Education and other federal entities. If you plan to apply for a grant through the U.S. Department of Education, you will need to be registered with the E-Grants applicationwhich needs to be done well in advance of the grant deadline.

Ohio Department of Education

The Ohio Department of Education accepts grant applications through its Consolidated Continous Improvement Plan [CCIP] system. The funding application portion of the CCIP requires designee logins for each district, but general information on the grant programs through ODE can be found in this Documents Library section of the CCIP.

Foundation Directory

This directory is a subscription based service that will allow you to search for private funding from foundations across the country that have interest in funding projects in many fields (i.e. service-learning, alternative schools, technology, literacy, arts, etc.). Foundation information is also available regarding the application requirements and timeline. The ESC of Northeast Ohio currently has a subscription to this service and can assist in researching foundations for school districts.

Contact the ESC of Northeast Ohio to discuss what support your district may need in the area of grant research and preparation work.
