WHEN DOES REGISTRATION OPEN?
Online application is open.
HOW CAN INCOMING FAMILIES REGISTER THEIR STUDENTS FOR KINDERGARTEN?
The two things to do at this time are to register by submitting your information within:
Registration and then completing the necessary paperwork at
Final Forms.
WHAT DOCUMENTS ARE NEEDED?
- Parent/guardian(s) government issued picture identification
- Proof of Residency – TWO of the following documents:
Driver License or State Identification Card, - Closing documentation or Rental Agreement, Current utility bill, Pay stub, Public assistance verification,
- Voter’s registration card.
- Original Birth Certificate or Passport
- Immunization Records
- Student's most recent transcript or report card
- Custody or Guardianship papers, if applicable.
- Copy of I.E.P. or 504 Plan, if applicable
WHAT ELSE DO FAMILIES NEED TO KNOW? WHY SHOULD THEY REGISTER NOW?
Here is the schedule we are looking at to assess and educate parents on digital learning: If the start date is pushed back from August 25th (returning after Labor Day), these dates will be moved back to reflect the change in the start to the school year start date.
August 18th-21st:
Assess (KRA, other assessments and create class lists
Use this time also to teach students and parents about digital platforms
Hand out Clever Badges
August 21st:
Postcards will be sent to parents on from the child's teacher
Class lists will be posted in Infinite Campus by 3:30 pm (just incase postcards don't arrive)
August 24th:
Finalize any testing;
Open House at 6:00 pm for students and parents to meet teacher and drop off supplies;
Virtual Open House if needed;
Stagger times for supplies if needed
August 25th and 26th:
Half of Kindergarten students attend school
August 27th:
All Kindergarten students First Day of school
HOW WILL DISTRICT PROVIDE ELECTRONIC ACCESS TO THOSE PARENTS WHO DO NOT HAVE IT AT HOME?
They can stop in office or Board of Education to get paperwork or we can help them fill it out digitally.
HOW IS THE SCHOOL PRACTICING SAFETY MEASURES FOR FACE-TO-FACE REGISTRATION?
Registration has been done online. Screening may have to be done virtually too.
