Family & Community Engagement

The Educational Service Center of Northeast Ohio provides districts and families technical assistance in supporting student achievement. Research has shown when families are involved in their child's education, students are more successful. Families can become involved with their child’s learning by better understanding the:

Parent resources for students with disabilities, special education laws/regulations and other issues of concern to families are available by contacting our or your local parent mentor (Cuyahoga County) . Activities and supports can be found within the 2020 Summer and Beyond Directory.  “After careful review of available information relating to the impact of COVID- 19, some agencies and organizations modified or cancelled their programs. Program titles in red indicate a change was made to their agenda.”  This directory has been updated to show changes due to COVID-19.  

One of the ways for families to be proactive in their child's education is to connect with national, statewide and local organizations that support student learning.  Families can be involved in many levels from local to national for example:   State Support Team staff

Together families and districts can work together to support student achievement.
