State Evaluation Systems

In order to evaluate teachers, school counselors, principals, and assistant principals in Ohio, educators must become credentialed evaluators by attending a state-approved training and passing an examination. Evaluator credentials must be renewed every 2 years.

  • Managing Challenging Employees - in-person or virtual training options to assist with requirements, documentation, coaching, and support when dealing with challenging employees
  • AI for the HR Office and Beyond - 6-session series focused on utilizing AI in the HR Office and Beyond; AI is not the future; AI is now
  • Effective Investigation Practices - in-person or virtual training options to assist with structured interviewing, gathering reliable information, correct documentation, maintaining objectivity, and navigating unions (fee associated with this training)
  • Standard Operating Procedures Roundtables - monthly roundtable discussion time for HR Directors on a timely topic with the goal of updating SOPs, discussing commonalities and differences, and improving practices across districts
  • Culture Quick Hits - 60-minute sessions full of proven ideas to boost morale, reduce stress, improve teamwork, and create a positive culture district-wide
PLCS & COLLECTIVES
  • NEOASPA - A professional organization open to all with the goal of collaboration and sharing effective practices, expertise and resources related to employment practices, personnel issues, human resource functions, and related legal topics. This network includes quarterly in-person meetings and an annual membership fee per district.
  • The HR Collective - monthly virtual meetings state-wide; one meeting (1st Monday each month) focuses on the learning; (2nd Monday each month) focuses on the work; allowing district representatives to work in a guided, supportive, collaborative environment on the monthly topic.
