Euclid Schools proudly celebrated Veterans Day with events and activities across the district honoring those who have served our nation. From heartfelt classroom discussions to community gatherings, students and staff came together to show appreciation for the bravery, sacrifice, and service of America’s veterans.
At Chardon Hills, veterans with connections to the school were invited to a special breakfast where they shared stories about their time in the military and the lessons they learned through service. Students asked thoughtful questions and learned about the importance of dedication, teamwork, and courage.
At Shoreview, three staff members who are veterans visited classrooms to talk about what Veterans Day means to them personally and to explain the significance of military service. Their reflections helped students understand why honoring veterans is an important American tradition.
The Early Learning Village also hosted a Veterans Breakfast, inviting family members who have served to enjoy time with students and staff. To show their pride, each classroom placed five American flags along the walkways to welcome veterans and celebrate the red, white, and blue.
Across Euclid, schools also held food drives to support the Euclid Hunger Center and the Euclid Schools Family Resource Center, extending the spirit of service beyond the classroom and into the community.
Meanwhile, the NJROTC Color Guard had a busy day, visiting multiple schools, performing flag presentations and leading ceremonies to teach younger students about respect, patriotism, and the opportunities available through the NJROTC program at Euclid High School.
Throughout the week, students wrote thank-you notes, created patriotic art, and reflected on the courage of those who protect our freedoms. These experiences not only honored our veterans but also inspired our students to think about service, leadership, and gratitude.
Euclid Schools is proud to honor all who have served and continues to teach students the values of respect, remembrance, and community.
