Bedford Schools Raise More Than $1,100 for Breast Cancer Support

The Bedford City School District community came together in a show of compassion and generosity during its recent Pink Out Day, raising $1,139.50 to support the fight against breast cancer.

Funds collected through the districtwide effort will benefit Minority Women with Breast Cancer Uniting (MWBCU) and The Gathering Place, two organizations that provide care, resources, and support for individuals and families affected by breast cancer.

The effort was coordinated with help from Tanesha Paul, school counselor at Heskett Middle School. District leaders extended their gratitude to all students, staff, and families who donated, wore pink, and joined in showing their Bearcat pride for a meaningful cause.
