Description:
School-based health centers are partnerships between schools and community health organizations to offer care that includes but is not limited to primary care, mental health, oral health, and vision services.  The work of school-based health centers aligns with the Whole Child Framework that a student’s physical, mental, and emotional needs must be met for success in and out of the classroom.  Keynote speakers will share the current landscape of health and education outcomes in our region and the Ohio School-Based Health Alliance and other regional partners will educate participants on this innovative approach.  Additionally, school districts and healthcare partners will share success and lessons learned from the field.
