Topic:   Curriculum & Instruction
Sponsored by:   ESC-NEO
Presenter(s):   Vickie Lewis and Maureen Wolfe
Description:
In this hands-on professional development session for K-8 teachers, participants will explore concrete, semi-concrete, and abstract representations to deepen students' mathematical understanding.  Educators will learn how to effectively use manipulatives and visual models to support conceptual learning.  The session will provide evidence-based strategies for bringing math concepts to life through hands-on activities.  Participants will also concentrate on how to transition students from manipulatives to abstract thinking, enhancing student engagement and improving overall instruction.  Join us to strengthen teaching practices, support student success, and make mathematics more accessible and meaningful for all learners!
