Our High-Quality Instructional Materials (HQIM) provide the foundation for delivering highquality
instruction. Our work is to understand the revised expectations, examine how materials
support them, and make intentional instructional decisions that support student learning.
Join us for one of two focused, one-hour virtual sessions to learn about the 2026 revisions to
Ohio’s Learning Standards for English Language Arts and discuss the importance of how to
intentionally begin thinking about blending the updated standards with your district-adopted
High-Quality Instructional Materials (HQIM) .
During the sessions, we will explore:

-Key changes and alignment to the science of reading
-Expanded Reading Foundational Skills
-Writing Foundational Skills
-How HQIM can support the transition
