The Gifted Education Department of the ESC of Northeast Ohio provides opportunities to advance gifted education through shared resources and activities designed for students in the gifted consortium and participating districts.

Resources for Students

• Northeast Ohio Summer Programs and Opportunities -  Provides a list of current summer programs and opportunities in the Northeast Ohio area. 

• Identification Day for Visual Artistic Talent -  An opportunity for art educators to submit their students' artworks for evaluation to determine potential gifted identification in visual arts.

• Ohio Association for Gifted Children (OAGC) -  Contains comprehensive information on gifted education in Ohio as well as links to other sites.

• National Association for Gifted Children (NAGC) - The national organization for gifted children. Contains links to research and articles on gifted education.

• Ohio Department of Education & Workforce - Provides information on Operating Standards for Identifying and Serving Gifted Students, Assessment Instruments, Acceleration Plans, and Parent’s Guide to Early Entrance to Kindergarten.
