This
course is designed to create a shared understanding of instructional
coaching as an evidence-based, job-embedded professional learning
strategy focused on improved student learning and growth. Planning for
instructional coaching is based on knowing the coaching context,
choosing appropriate approaches, and defining roles. This free online
and in-person course also fosters an understanding of the essential
coaching components of building and sustaining trusting and supportive
relationships, fostering professional learning cycles, and using data to
focus the coaching process. This course is for coaches, principals and
district directors focused on building and strengthening foundational
coaching practices and coaching models in a district. Participants
will also be completing the online Course in Learning Community of
Ohio. The online course is 12 hours. The In Person and Virtual
sessions will allow participants opportunities to process, collaborate
with others and apply their learning.
