Garfield Heights' Elementary Gifted Students View Ancient Artworks

The gifted education program recently took advantage of the Cleveland Museum of Art's traveling artifact demonstration, by inviting representatives to our buildings to showcase ancient pieces of artwork. Students from Elmwood, William Foster, and Maple Leaf all took turns carefully handling artifacts and ancient relics as two ambassadors from the Cleveland Museum of Art passed them around and described each. Students had the opportunity to guess what these artifacts were and how they improved lives of the people at the times of their origination. This presentation opportunity is all part of the Cleveland Museum of Art's traveling art program, and our gifted program took full advantage. Great job Garfield Heights students, in elevating the importance of art and art history!
