Richmond Heights Horizons Club Gets Hands-On with Cutting-Edge Medical Tech at Case Western
The Richmond Heights Horizons Future Medical Professionals Club recently took another exciting trip to Case Western Reserve University

for their monthly hands-on learning experience with Case medical students, doctors, and healthcare professionals.
This month’s highlights:
Ultrasound Imaging Technology – Club members had the rare opportunity to operate ultrasound machines on medical students, observing real-time visuals of internal structures and learning how this technology aids in diagnosis. Even many medical students don’t get hands-on experience with ultrasound this early in their training!
Microsoft HoloLens Immersive Learning – Using one of the most advanced mixed-reality technologies available, Horizons students explored 3D human skeletal structures and internal anatomy in an interactive virtual environment.
These incredible experiences are giving our tenth- through twelfth graders a head start in the medical field, learning cutting-edge techniques alongside future doctors.
