Richmond Heights Local Schools student Kensani Letang has been named the winner of the Ohio Civil Rights Commission's 2025 MLK Art, Essay, and Multimedia Contest in the essay category.

Letang was honored at an awards ceremony held in Columbus on Thursday, February 27, where the Letang family was in attendance to celebrate the achievement.

According to school officials, Letang's essay stood out among submissions from students across Ohio. The piece, noted for its powerful message, earned Letang recognition at the state level.
