Berea-Midpark High School Students Celebrate Leadership and Legacy at Cafe Harambee
Cafe Harambee is an annual event that has been celebrated at Berea-Midpark High School for approximately 15 years. The word "H

arambee" translates to "coming together," a theme reflected in both the diversity of participants and the shared experience.
This year’s event honored African American Olympians, highlighting their achievements and lasting impact. The BMHS Symphonic Choir opened the event with a beautiful performance, setting the tone for the celebration. The BMHS Step Team also took the stage with a dynamic and rhythmic routine, bringing energy and excitement to the program.
Students from LEAD, RYP, MSA, EL, and the varsity boys and girls basketball teams also took part, delivering meaningful tributes to the athletes who inspire them. The Step Team’s performance was a standout moment, reinforcing the spirit of unity and celebration that defines Cafe Harambee.
