Euclid High School Students Excel in Ohio Trio Leadership Conference

Students from Euclid High School are making the most of their participation in the TRiO Upward Bound Program, a pre-college initiative designed to support low-income and first-generation college students in their journey toward higher education. Hosted by Case Western Reserve University, the program provides year-round academic enrichment, college preparation, and personal development opportunities to help students achieve success in postsecondary education.Recently, two Euclid High School students, Derek Lett (10th grade) and Daniel Lett (11th grade), attended the Ohio TRiO Leadership Conference, where they were honored as "Ohio TRiO Trailblazers." The event brought together approximately 300 TRiO students from high schools and colleges across Ohio, making Derek and Daniel’s recognition a prestigious honor that highlights their hard work, leadership, and dedication to academic success.

Not only did Derek and Daniel receive well-deserved recognition, but their presence also left a lasting impression on distinguished guests, TRiO teachers, and advisors. Multiple attendees shared praise for how well they represented Euclid High School, noting that they were a pleasure to have in their workshops and demonstrated exceptional leadership and professionalism throughout the conference.

The TRiO Upward Bound Program at Euclid High School helps to provide transformative opportunities for students, including academic instruction, college planning, tutoring, counseling, and cultural enrichment experiences. The program also includes a six-week summer component, designed to simulate a college environment, helping students gain valuable educational and life skills.

With students like Derek and Daniel leading the way, Euclid High School is proud to see its Upward Bound participants excelling and making a name for themselves statewide. Congratulations, Derek and Daniel! We look forward to seeing many more successes from our Euclid Upward Bound students in the future.
