Students from Heskett Middle School participated in a tree planting event celebrating Earth Day hosted by the City of Bedford Heights and FirstEnergy.

Student leaders from Heskett Middle School, under the guidance of advisors Tim Zuercher and Laura Hogue, learned about the environmental importance of trees while participating in the planting activities.

The students received educational materials and earned a proclamation from Mayor Stevens recognizing their participation.

The Bedford City School District expressed enthusiasm about collaborating with community leaders and partners to provide educational experiences that help students better understand their environment.
