Fairview Park Foundation Awards $15K+ in Teacher Grants

During the 2024-2025 school year, the Fairview Park Education Foundation awarded over $15,000 in grants to educators, continuing its mission to enrich and enhance educational opportunities for students in the Fairview Park City School District. Fairview Park teachers and staff were recognized at the district’s End of the Year Service Awards Ceremony in June for their successful grant proposals.

In total, the Foundation awarded $7,591.76 in Fall 2024 and $7,386 in Spring 2025, funding projects that span robotics, music education, mental health, adaptive arts, and hands-on STEM learning. All grants were made possible through individual donations and fundraising events.

“The support of the Fairview Park Education Foundation makes a meaningful difference in our schools,” Fairview Park City Schools Superintendent Keith Ahearn stated. “Their commitment to funding innovative projects empowers our teachers, enriches our classrooms, and ultimately enhances the educational experience for every student.”

The Education Foundation has been partnering with the district for over three decades, awarding grants to educators who design engaging, student-centered initiatives. This year’s recipients represented every building in the district, including the Early Education Center, Gilles-Sweet Elementary, Lewis F. Mayer Middle School, and Fairview High School. It also organizes and raises funds for scholarship opportunities for students, awarded annually in May at Scholars Reception.
